If I could, I would!

I think I probably own too many pairs of jeans at the moment but they're pretty much all of the autumn/winter variety and not so much of the spring/summer. Recently whilst I was 'watching' my other half play rugby, I ended up people watching (as you do) and saw so many people wearing bleach or really nice light blue jeans and I fell in love Obviously not with the person wearing them but the jeans.. duh. My lovely white Topshop  jeans have very recently become just that little bit too tight for me so I'd feel tons better if I could get these to replace them.

Sunnies and me haven't got on for years purely down to the one reason - I wear glasses. I never wear them when I'm doing OOTD posts cause I don't like how I look in the ones I have, they just don't suit me! So a couple of weeks ago I did what I should have done years ago - I went and got myself some contact lenses from good ol' Specsavers and I haven't looked back since (pardon the pun). Now I'm starting to wear some of my old sunglasses again due to the random bits of brightness in the sky every now and again and I've realised all of the sun specs I have are completly naff! They don't fit my face properly and they usually end up leaving marks on my nose :( I know Ray-Bans are pricey but hey, they're so worth the price tag! I'll probably get these when I've won the lottery or something...

The Nars Laguna bronzing powder is most beauty bloggers must have especially for the summer months. I've definately fallen for the massive hype around this product and, trust me, I would buy it now if I could!

I'm a sucker for block heels, especially the mid heel variety in brown. These caught my eye one day whilst browzing the New Look website, and although I think they're really cute and I love the buckle detail, they're just too expensive for what they are! Will definately be keeping an eye out to see if they end up in the sale or have a discount day.

I love love love blazers but can never find any long enough for me in the body and arms due to my, sometimes annoying, genes that make me nearly 6ft tall. Thankfully Topshop are around and boy do they come out with some nice stuff for us lanky birds?! This blazer would look lovely in my wardrobe and go really well with both a casual or smart outfit me thinks.

Most if not all of my spare wonga this month is going on my car - MOT, tax and service - why does it all crop up at the same time and cost soooo much?!!? :( I should have guessed when buying a Mini that it was going to cost a bit more than my old banger of a clio to keep running but I had no idea it was going to be sooo much more. 'Thankfully' they're only servicing my front breaks this time round (they service different parts on the car when the car has done a particular mileage to make it cheaper...apparently) but it will either cost me £149 or £300+ depending on what needs replacing :\ So I have zero money to spare on anything extra this month. In fact I think with all of my outgoings I'll probably be in the minus even though I don't have an over draft... Hmmm guess I'll be running on fumes to get to work and back then!

Not sure if I've introduced Alice to you yet...and yes I didn't really think about the whole Alice Cooper thing until it was too late. But heres my wheels :) Isn't she a beaut?

Sorry I've been blabbing and not taking too many pictures recently.
Hopefully you forgive me? :)

So, I know I said I was going to get better at this blogging malarkey - but to be honest I think I've gotten 10 times worse :( It's not so much that I don't have time to do it because I do, I just keep getting bloggers block and not a lot is inspiring me clothes wise at the moment. What's not helped either is the fact I haven't really been that excited about any outfits that I've worn recently either. The easy answer would be - go out and get some nice new clothes that do excite me but I really don't have the money! To be honest I'd see it as a waste anyway because I'm in between sizes at the moment so nothing fits right anyway and I'm trying to lose weight.

Anyways, today's photies are the best of a very bad bunch and were taken on Tuesday - perhaps our only day of sunshine in England for the rest of year. **sob** Today's merky, grey skies and cold again and I'm currently sat here in nice pastel jeans, bright pumps, polka dot tee and a long cardigan with a bow in my hair feeling a bit of a muppet.

Yesterday was also my first day at the gym trying out my new gym routine in full (see previous post if you're interested!) and I'm not gonna lie it was pretty tough but I did it all and then some. Today I'm aching a bit but it will all be worth it in the end :) Next gym day will be tomorrow...

Are you getting as confused as I am with what to wear to fit the weather? Or am I just stupid :(
Much love xo

P.S Can someone clean my mirror for me?

My gym routine

IMG_1268
I'm not really sure how much relevance this will be to my usual readers but here goes! In recent weeks I have been reaping the benefits of my new gym membership courtesy of my lovely Fiancé, Shaun. Last night my gym instructor ran through with me what he thinks my routine should be to start off with...

When I read '5 minutes' on paper it sort of makes me want to chuckle and say something like

'pah!! 5 minutes that easy!!'

Alas, to me, 5 minutes doing any kind of exercise is hard and it always seems like it's the longest 5 minutes of my life. To be honest I don't really know whether or not be embarrassed about that or not. Heck, there are people out there that don't do any sort of fitness at all - At least I'm trying lol.

The only thing I forgot to ask the instructor is how many times a week he reckons I should try this. Now common sense dictates that if you try too hard and go every day you'll burn yourself out so I'm thinking possibly twice a week is okay to begin with on Tuesday and Thursday and then swimming Wednesday and Friday.

I love swimming, always have done since I was a kid. I was one of those people that could swim underwater with no goggles on - no problem. Nowadays I'm finding the chlorine a little too much for my sensitive eyes so I've invested in a pair of speedo goggles that I picked up at my local supermarket as they were on offer and oh my days - either my head is mahoosive or I'm just not wearing them right. To be fair, even if I wore them properly I've somehow completely forgotten how to breath underwater/hold my breath properly without coming up and choking. I will master that soon I'm sure...

Being a tall lass I've always found it quite difficult to find any sort of swimwear that fits me lengthways. The easy option for me (or so I thought) was to purchase a tankini and to begin with, I was fine with it. My tummy was poking out a smidge but I didn't care because I was flat stomached. Now, I have a bit of a podge front and sides...and being ridiculously self conscious I refused to step into any pool till I had either lost weight or if I could find myself a flattering one piece suit. I did already own a one piece but because it wasn't long enough in the body it kind of made me not stand up straight and before I'd even stepped in the pool I'd be in huge pain fromt the straps digging into my shoulders.

I had one of those 'eureka' moments though last week or week before - get a cozzi that has adjustable straps! Hazaaar. From what I can tell from the research I did the only sporty type of well known brands that sells cozzies with adjustable straps is Speedo. And don't get me wrong there are plenty of places out there that sell swimwear for us vertically blessed people, however, I wanted to make sure I bought something that was designed for 'heavy usage'. Not a costume that looks pretty but would lose it's colour or chlorine repellent after one use.

Anywho, I think that's enough babbling for now!
Do you have your own gym routine, if so do you stick to it or have you adapted it in some way?

It's been such a long time since my last 'proper post'! Bad form Heather...bad form. Lifes been pretty hectic of late so I've had next to no time at all to take snaps of outfits or put together any of my usual lust list posts but I'm back!

Easter weekend was so much fun. I went to Sandy Bay in Exmouth with Shaun, his mum, step dad and little brother and we all stayed in one of their static caravans. It was like living in a little house seriously! The lounge area and kitchen were mahoosive, there was a really decent shower and the bedrooms all had fitted furniture in them. Literally the only downside to the whole weekend was how awful the weather was! Our caravan was on a hill and it rocked around and creaked so much when the wind was blowing a hoolie. I swear I barely slept at all but the experience was so much fun and I loved spending it with my other halfs family :) Much slept occurred after eating all of our easter eggs nom nom nom....
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd been lusting over this pinafore playsuit for a little while but was so worried it wouldn't cover my tooshie as I'm so tall! Thankfully it does, although I certainly wouldn't wear it without any leggings/tights! The only thing that peeved me off a little bit was I didn't realise I could have bought it cheaper at River Island. ASOS do a price promise thing if a branded item is cheaper elsewhere, however, this doesn't cover items that are in a sale. For the sake of a tenner minus delivery cost at RI I really couldn't be bothered but next time I'll deffo make more of an effort to shop around.

For the first couple of working days this week I wore some pastel jeans to work :) And it felt so right especially as the sun decided to make an appearance. This morning though it looked more like the month of November on my drive to work. The brown leaves were blowing all over the road and its blaady cold! I'm hoping (like everyone else) that spring does make an appearance soon and that it stays longer than 2 days. I really do miss sunshine and I'm so bored of being cold!

On the up side; I've signed up for the gym again - This time I'm only paying £18/month for full membership and the gym I go to is the same as my fellas so whilst we don't live together, I'll be able to see him even more during the week :) Happy days! Fitness and me don't tend to get on very well but I've been eating a darn sight healthier than I ever have been and running once a week along with doing kinect and 10 minute solutions dvds during the week. So hopefully going to the gym and swimming will give me that extra little push to shift some chub. All I need now is a decent routine put together!

Thank god it's nearly Friday again. This week has gone by soooo slowly!
Hope you are all well :)
